FAQs
Wooden cold-pressed oil is extracted using a traditional wooden ghani (press) where oil
seeds are crushed slowly at low temperatures. This gentle process prevents heat damage
and helps retain the oil’s natural aroma, nutrients, and flavour.
Refined oils undergo high heat, chemical solvents, bleaching, and deodorising, which strip
away nutrients and natural character.
Wooden cold-pressed oils are unrefined, chemical-free, and closer to how oils were
traditionally made.
Yes. All Woodpresso oils are 100% unrefined.
We do not bleach, deodorise, or chemically treat our oils at any stage.
No.
Woodpresso oils are pure, single-ingredient oils — nothing is added, and nothing is
removed.
Only minimal frictional heat is generated naturally during pressing, which stays within safe
limits.
No external heat is applied, ensuring the oil remains nutrient-rich and alive.
Wooden ghanis rotate slowly and gently, preventing overheating.
This preserves essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and aroma, unlike fast industrial machines
that prioritise volume over quality.
A strong, natural aroma is a sign of purity.
Refined oils are deodorised, which removes their natural smell. Woodpresso oils retain their
true seed aroma.
Yes.
Natural oils may have light sediment because they are not over-filtered. This is a sign that
the oil is raw and unprocessed.
Natural oils can vary slightly depending on seed quality, harvest season, and climate.
This variation is normal and reflects authenticity not inconsistency.
Yes.
Cold-pressed oils retain natural vitamins, antioxidants, and healthy fats that are often
destroyed during refining.
Absolutely.
Woodpresso oils are ideal for everyday Indian cooking, including sabzis, dals, tadka, and
curries.
Some cold-pressed oils are suitable for medium to high heat, while others are better for
low-heat or raw use.
Choosing the right oil for the right cooking method is key
